Youth Project Lead

  • 16 Hours per week (includes 7 hours face to face, working hours Tue 5.30 - 8pm, Wed 5 - 8.30pm and Thursday 6 - 8pm. Additional hours to be decided with the Development Coordinator in line with the charity's requirements. Weekends and holiday periods hours to vary)

  • £13.75 per hour

  • Permanent contract subject to successful probationary period

  • Holidays - 30 days per annum (pro rata) including bank holidays

The Activity Den is seeking a new Youth Project Lead. The Youth Project Lead will be responsible for coordinating and planning The Den’s youth clubs, Young Volunteers Task Force, activities and events for children and young people. The post holder will supervise our team of Den Assistants who support our face to face youth work and look after our building. 

Working closely with the Board and Development Coordinator, the Youth Project Lead will ensure that the project continues to grow into a well-run, welcoming place for children, young people and their families.  

It is desirable that you will have previous experience, a qualification in Youth Work or equivalent and have access to your own transport which you can use for work.

Due to the nature of the post and the client group, a DBS check will be required.

Den Assistant (Youth Worker) Vacancies 

  • 6 - 12 hours per week with additional hours available for project work

  • Up to £11.87 per hour (Depending on experience)

  • Permanent contract subject to successful probationary period

  • Holidays - 30 days per annum pro rata

  • 1 Position available plus bank staff

The Activity Den is seeking a Den Assistant (Youth worker) to support the Den volunteers and staff with youth work, administration, housekeeping and developmental work. The youth work sessions will be primarily on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings with other times to meet project and delivery requirements.  

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an interest in working with young people and have experience of administration procedures. You will have good communication and organisational skills and be able to work as part of a team with Den employees and volunteers. You will be able to demonstrate some knowledge of the issues facing young people and a willingness to learn. It is desirable that you will have a qualification in Youth Work or equivalent and have access to your own transport which you can use for work.

Sound Hub Music Tutors

  • 2 hours per week, 10am-12pm on Saturdays (Term time only)

  • Bank tutor positions available

  • Service level agreement to be issued, subject to successful application

  • Sound Hubs current equipment includes guitars, drums and keyboards

    We are looking for experienced music tutors to help us deliver our Sound Hub community project providing professional music tuition to young people aged 10 - 18.
