Petrifying Pumpkin Patch
This October half term we have had a fiendishly good time here at The Den! Our young people took part in a scary scavenger hunt, finding all of our freaky figures hidden around our building! Pin the spider on the web, spooky statues and even made their own monster masks!
The children enjoyed a petrifying picnic of healthy food and finished the session off by picking their pumpkin from our patch alongside their very own pumpkin pack, filled with crafts activities and goodies, along with disposal instructions for their pumpkins after Halloween and a recipe card on how to get the most out of their pumpkins at home!
Sound Hub Digital FX Session
Our second Fun and Food event during the October half term involved our three amazing Sound Hub tutors! Together with the support of out local school Tanfield Lea Primary school, we were able to deliver a brilliant digital music session where our young people were able to try out professional programming equipment and make their own digital music!
During their session, our young people enjoyed a delicious hot meal of chicken and vegetable curry with rice, and enjoyed refreshments and fruit throughout the day.
Thanks to Fun and Food, we were able to provide sessions to over 30 children and young people over the October half term.
